Moonlight and Magnolias, a play directed by Steve Tetlow, running from Tuesday, 24th September to Saturday, 28th September with two tickets for £12.00 on Tuesday. The play is set in 1939 Hollywood and follows the story of legendary producer David O. Selznick, who has shut down production of his new epic, Gone with the Wind, due to the screenplay not working. Selznick sends for famed screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming, and the three men work together over five days, surviving on a diet of bananas and peanuts, to fashion a screenplay that will become the blueprint for one of the most successful and beloved films of all time. The play features Sam Brunelle as David O. Selznick, Nick Turner as Ben Hecht, Mike McSkeane as Victor Fleming, and Anna Tiffany as Miss Poppenghul.
