Moon Over the Mounds is an exceptional experience. Archaeologists and knowledgeable park volunteers lead tours of this pre-Columbian site as the full moon rises over the ancient mounds. View the Crystal River from the top of Temple Mound A. Learn about the Ancient River Dwellers and how they lived their day-to-day lives. The small-group format allows the experts to answer all of your questions during the tours, which last about an hour. Offered just eight nights each year, this informative and fascinating event sells out quickly. Reservations are required. Space is very limited, so make your reservation now. As you walk the grounds, the full moon will rise ever higher over the mounds, and reflect off the Crystal River. The hour-long tours start at 7 and 7:30 p.m., so check both times on EventBrite!
