Set in a spacious, two-story art gallery with waterfront views of downtown Seattle, Art Love Salon hosts an evening of live jazz and cocktails featuring Moon Mode.Moon Mode draws from the language of classic 1960s jazz—modal grooves, introspective swing, spunky rhythms, and lyrical improvisation—through the lens of womxn and nonbinary composers. Led by NYC-based vibraphonist/pianist Brittany Anjou, the music centers hand-picked repertoire, select standards, and deep collective interplay.
The band features Jessica Lurie (sax/flute), Susan Pascal (vibraphone), Geoff Harper (bass), and John Bishop (drums), bringing a warm, chamber-jazz sensibility rooted in post-bop tradition, featuring music by Thelonious Monk, Carla Bley, and more.
