Alliance of Minnesota Chinese Organizations (AMCO) is delighted to invite you to our upcoming event, The 250th Birthday of USA + Cultures of China: Minnesota Moon-Longing for Home.
The opening will be particularly memorable as Chinese traditional instruments perform a majestic rendition of, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Local Minnesota musicians of Chinese heritage will then perform “Purple Rain,” a legendary song of Minnesota music icon Prince.
Traditional dragon + lion dances, along with powerful Chinese drum performances, will also take center stage and honor Chinese traditions. Minnesota Moon-Longing for Home will feature over 50 art groups from the Chinese and other ethnic communities in Minnesota while honoring the spirit of reunion.
