Montreal St. Patrick's Day Parade 2024

Montreal hosts Canada’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade in Canada celebrated since 1824.

The three-hour procession features hundreds of floats marching bands performers an impressive massive replica of St. Patrick. and revelers marching to celebrate the Irish community. 

After many of the participants and spectators head to the area around Bishop Crescent and University streets where Irish pints and music will be flowing freely at the Old Dublin Hurley’s and McKibbin’s. 

One of the main highlights of March the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Montreal attracts about 500000 spectators and thousands of participants. Cheering crowds dressed in traditional Irish costumes leprechaun hats and fake red beards fill the streets of downtown Montreal. The parade's route goes along St. Catherine Street between Fort St. and Dorchester Square. There are also many street parties performances and Irish community happenings on the same day as the parade.
