Speaker – Veteran Supply Chain Executive Jim Manno

Jim has spent decades selling the services of Logistics Service Providers to large users including regional and national manufacturers. He has gained unique perspective on their needs and issues. Manno has also been a college level educator serving most recently as a faculty fellow in Niagara University’s College of Business. He has been an active participant and leader in numerous Western NY professional organizations such as the International Trade Gateway Organization, Council of Supply ChainManagement Professionals and Buffalo Niagara Partnership Logistics Council.

Topic - The continuing changes in products and percentages to import tariffs by the Trump administration has made business planning extremely difficult for everyone. US firms do not know if they can even procure needed equipment and raw material in addition to what the total cost will actually be. And the next time they order details will probably have changed again.
Some of the details Manno's presentation will address include:

Implications on Manufacturing of Production Scheduling and RelevantResources.

Process Challenges inherent to Manufacturing based on CommoditiesProduced.

Communication paths and obstacles to ensure forecasted ProductionOutput.

Potential roadblocks leading to public /service partners lack ofunderstanding of the challenges manufacturers face.

What are the “Fixed” and “Variable” Supply Chain / Manufacturing Costs?

And Who’s paying for them?

Supply Chain issues and potential solutions for pre and post-ProductionScheduling.

Future of Manufacturing, Supply Chain / Logistics and Reliable Productivity“Tools”.

Tickets are $10 and includes a continental breakfast.
