About the Meetup
Whether you’re just starting out with your first camera, snapping on your iPhone and wanting to learn more about light and composition, or you’re a professional photographer—this space is for you. We all have something to learn from one another! Everyone who picks up a camera is an artist with untapped potential, and this monthly meetup is a place to grow together in community.
What to Expect
Exact address emailed to you once you get your ticket. Message me if you do not recieve it.
Each month, we’ll gather in my home or backyard (weather permitting) with light snacks and drinks. The format will shift based on who shows up and what the group is needing that day. Sometimes we’ll share about what’s been blooming in our photography practice, sometimes we’ll troubleshoot challenges or stuck places, and other times we’ll exchange tips on posing, editing, or camera techniques.
You’re welcome to bring your camera, phone, or computer if you’d like to show past photos, ask for feedback, or share editing skills. At the start of each gathering, I’ll ask guiding questions:
What’s blossoming for you in your photography right now?
What feels difficult or stuck?
What do you need support in?
These reflections will shape our time together—whether that’s experimenting outside, talking through ideas, or simply holding space for one another as artists in process.
This is not a class or a lecture—it’s a supportive, inclusive community where curiosity, creativity, and connection guide us. Come as you are, with whatever you’re carrying, and let’s grow together.
Guiding Values
This is a collaborative space. While I will host and ask guiding questions, I’m not the sole “leader.” Together, we decide what we explore, and I welcome honesty, initiative, and shared leadership.
We root this group in anti-racist values, accessibility for people with disabilities, and respect for differing beliefs. This is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ folks and allies. Everyone is invited, and everyone is welcome to invite others.
Our goal is simple: to learn from each other, create together, and make space where every voice and vision matters.
