Don’t miss this month’s Club Meeting on Tuesday, 9/24 at 7pm!
Tom NS8K will be presenting a program on Remotely Operating your ham radio shack – and how to set things up!
Tom will be covering the basics on how he sets up and operates his station remotely. He plans to operate DURING the meeting as well, as a demonstration on how the end-result works out.
Tom has also been a user of subscription-based services where you can purchase time on ready-to-go remote “ham shacks” and operate them remotely, and can explain a bit about his experiences with those.
Tom’s setup will be within the capabilities of “most ordinary hams” so you don’t have to worry about too much of a “bar” being set for qualifications to make something like this work. He’ll also cover tuning in on SDRs (we have two online at present in the local area) as a way to monitor your own transmissions.
