Monthly Meet Up

Join us for our June Monthly Meet Up, a relaxed, in-person gathering at Lost & Found for Kiwanis members, friends, and prospective members to connect, catch up, and build community with people who care about making a positive impact in D.C.

At June’s Meet Up, we’ll be preparing summer enrichment backpacks for 375 students at Anne Beers Elementary School (DCPS).

Volunteers will help pack backpacks with shelf-stable snacks, art supplies, books, and other materials students can use at home over the summer months, supporting learning continuity and creativity while school is out. This effort continues our longstanding partnership with DCPS through Bernard Terry, Intervention/Enrichment Specialist, who many members may remember from previous projects.

These backpacks help ensure students have access to enrichment materials even when school isn’t in session, and your participation directly impacts their summer experience.

Whether you’re new to Kiwanis or a longtime member, this Monthly Meet Up is an easy, welcoming way to get involved, learn more about local impact, and connect with others who share a commitment to service.
