1st Section. 25 miles approx.
A560 towards Hyde
Turn right onto A560
At Roundabout take 2nd exit Hyde Rd A57/ A628 Hollingworth
Continue A628 Past Crowden (reservoir on right)
CAUTION!! Take next Left turn A6024 SP Holmfirth.
At Traffic lights in Holmfirth turn right, cross river, then take B6106 (almost directly ahead)
Continue past Underbank RL ground on left
Take next right turn into Choppards Bank Road.
Take Right fork, Rich Gate> Green Lane> Over the river> Carding Shed on Left.
Car Park a little further up hill on left.
COFFEE TIME
2nd Section 20 miles approx.
Return to B6106 via Choppards Lane.
CAUTION!! At this junction (dodgy) there will be a marshal to call you out, please pay attention to him. You will be turning Right.
At A616 Crossroads Turn Right
Continue to Roundabout, take 2nd exit continue straight on A616 to Langsett (Waggon & Horses) on LHS.
Turn right SP Upper Midhope ( Midhope Cliff Lane)
At next `T-junction turn Right
CAUTION!! Be prepared for Sharp bends, steep hills and Narrow bridges.
Continue to `Y-junction, Take left fork SP BRADFIELD (Penistone Lane)
Continue straight through Upper Bradfield village (Loxley Rd)
After passing Sailing Club on right. Turn Right over the DAM ( B6076)
`This is Damflask Reservoir`
Continue along reservoir edge (leave B6076 which hairpins left)
Then after crossing inlet take right fork (New Rd)
Continue to `T` junction. Turn Right SP Lower Bradfield
Follow this road which will swing left (Past The School rooms)
Continue on this road up hill to `T` junction. Turn Left. SP Strines
Look out for Strines Inn on Right.
PULL OVER.
3rd Section 16 miles to Yonderman / 36 miles direct to Hazel Grove P&R from Strines
Turn right out of Car park.
Continue to junction with A57.
Turn Right
At Traffic lights Turn Left SP Barrowford A6103
At next Traffic Lights. Turn Right A6187 SP Hope
At next Traffic lights Turn Left B6049
Continue to `T` junction with A623. (Anchor Pub)
Turn left for the Yonderman Café (closes at 1600)
OR
Turn right to ride direct back to Hazel Grove P&R via A6
TOTAL MILEAGE 81 miles approx.
