About this Event
Explore local trails and connect with fellow nature lovers on 4-8 mile mostly moderate difficulty hikes around the Bay. Good physical fitness with the ability to hike a minimum of 5 miles that may include hilly terrain required.

Double Cross Trail: Section 3
Route:We’ll take on Section 3 of San Francisco’s Double Cross Trail, a route that reveals some of the city’s wilder and more unexpected corners. Some highlights will be:
- Alamo Square & the Painted Ladies / “Seven Sisters” — one of SF's quintessential postcard views
- Nob Hill, including Huntington Park and the California Street cable-car corridor
- Chinatown, including some of its small alleys
- Telegraph Hill stairs and views, with the possibility of spotting the famous wild parrots
It’s a great opportunity to experience a side of the city that’s easy to miss—even for longtime residents.
Meet time: 10 a.m., rolling out at 10:05 a.m.
Meet location: Duboce Park Cafe, 2 Sanchez St, San Francisco, CA 94114
Meet outside the entrance. Restrooms inside. Arrive early for coffee or a morning treat!
Details: This isa greatest-hits tour of central and northeastern San Francisco.It is about 5 miles with an elevation gain of around 630 feet. The terrain is mostly city streets, sidewalks, parks, alleys, and a number of stairways/steep climbs.
The hike duration is approximately 2.5 hours. Bring water, snacks, and anything else you need. Restrooms along the route. Heavy rain cancels.
Note: The hike is one-way, starting near Duboce Park and finishing at Pier 23 on the Embarcadero.

About Clubs @ Manny's - Manny's Clubs are discussion groups that convene once a month for 90 minutes to discuss a wide variety of topics. Led by community moderators, the groups are meant to bring together ideas and build community. Groups may exchange ideas, discuss specific works or decide to take a field trip. Actionable outcome is not required but is encouraged. Participants are asked to make a 6 month or yearly commitment. Moderators will be in direct contact with participants after subscription purchase.
