About this Event
Explore local trails and connect with fellow nature lovers on 4-8 mile mostly moderate difficulty hikes around the Bay. Good physical fitness with the ability to hike a minimum of 5 miles that may include hilly terrain required.

The Southern Waterfront
Route: Our scenic 5-mile route through Dogpatch, Mission Bay, and Pier 70 blends the city’s waterfront past with its rapidly changing future. We'll explore several pocket parks, an urban oasis at Esprit Park, the houseboats and greenways along Mission Creek, and recently opened China Basin Park, featuring a sandy beach overlooking McCovey Cove. From Bayfront Park, where pieces of the old Bay Bridge and a recovered ship anchor are part of the landscape, we'll continue to the Chase Center, Crane Cove Park, and the booming Pier 70 development, featuring historic shipyards that once powered the city’s maritime industry.
Meet time: 10 a.m., rolling out at 10:05 a.m.
Meet location: Breadbelly, 1070 Maryland St. Ste 122, SF 94107. Meet outside the entrance. Restrooms inside. Arrive early if you want to sample any of their mouth-watering treats!
Details: Terrain is virtually flat, mostly on pavement and pedestrian paths. The hike duration is approximately 2.5 hours. Bring water, snacks, and anything else you need. Restrooms along the route. Heavy rain cancels.
Note: The hike is a loop, finishing at our starting point. Easy transit access via the 15, 55, and 48 buses and the T-Third streetcar.

About Clubs @ Manny's - Manny's Clubs are discussion groups that convene once a month for 90 minutes to discuss a wide variety of topics. Led by community moderators, the groups are meant to bring together ideas and build community. Groups may exchange ideas, discuss specific works or decide to take a field trip. Actionable outcome is not required but is encouraged. Participants are asked to make a 6 month or yearly commitment. Moderators will be in direct contact with participants after subscription purchase.
