On the second Saturday of each month this summer, we are teaching the Charleston - an athletic dance that hails from the very early days of swing. It's great for those high energy songs and features a strong pulse, lots of jazz kicks, and a variety of big movements. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a pair of clean, supportive shoes - please help protect our venue's floors by leaving your street shoes at the door. These classes are not recommended for anyone dealing with chronic pain or injuries in their back, hips, legs, or feet. Experience with swing dance basics is recommended, but not required. These are drop-in lessons, you do not need to attend every class in order to participate. No partner needed. $10 per person per class, $8 for students with school ID.
