Monteverdi Christmas

This December, Music at Co-Cath (MACC) invites audiences to celebrate the season with Monteverdi Christmas, a program of festive brilliance drawn from Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 and Selva morale e spirituale.

Performed at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph in Prospect Heights, the concert places Monteverdi’s radiant settings in the soaring architecture of a sacred space, evoking both grandeur and intimacy. MACC’s immersive staging will weave theatrical storytelling with choral majesty, bringing centuries-old Christmas music vividly into the present.

All performances are free and open to the public.

Led by Artistic Director Alejandro Zuleta and Associate Director Cristina María Castro, Music at Co-Cath blends live music, storytelling, and theatrical design to create sacred concerts that feel immediate and alive.
