Montessori Little Explorers: Heuristic Play

Join us for Little Explorers: Beyond the Basket - a warm, playful session for babies on the move, led by Georgina, an award-winning early years Montessori educator with decades of experience supporting children and parents.

Building on the foundation of The Treasure Basket for non-mobile babies, this class introduces the next stage: heuristic play - the natural way toddlers learn by exploring everyday objects, discovering what they do, how they feel, and how they sound. Through open-ended, hands-on play, children develop curiosity, creativity, and confidence in their own discoveries.

Georgina will guide parents and carers on how to choose and present simple household items as “treasures” that spark wonder and imagination - the same sense of joyful discovery you might feel in a colourful spice market or a curiosity-filled antiques fair.

This class is suitable for children who are mobile and ready to explore freely. If your little one is not yet on the move, we can provide a treasure basket for them to enjoy while you learn more about heuristic play, just let us know when you book.

No experience needed; simply come as you are and share a relaxed, music-filled time with your child.
