Monsters & Halloween Sculpted Glass Plant Stakes – October 3

Skill Level: Beginner
Let your creative juices flow!! For this beginner to advanced beginner flameworking class, we will work with soft Italian glass. You will learn how to melt glass on a stainless steel rod, shape it into unique monster/ghost bodies, and make eyes, mouth, teeth, etc. using flameworking tools. Look creepy? We don’t care! Add these adorable 9-11” handcrafted plant stakes to liven up your potted plants or fairy gardens!
Please avoid wearing synthetic fabrics.
All materials are included in the tuition. Your plant stakes will need to be annealed overnight. They will be available to pick up from the Guild within 2 days of the class. Guild store hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am-5 pm.
Please bring water & a packed lunch. There is a full sized refrigerator in the breakroom next to the classroom as well as a microwave. There will be an (approximately) 45 minute break for lunch. There are also take out options nearby including Chella’s on Queen, Sa La Thai, Cafe Onions, Rachel’s Creperie, and Brooklyn Pizza Grill & Pasta.
