Monster Drawing Rally is a high-energy, live art-making event and fundraiser hosted by Generation MOCA, Virginia MOCA’s young leaders advisory council. Throughout the evening, 70+ local artists will create original drawings in one-hour shifts, each available for purchase for just $50
All proceeds benefit Virginia MOCA’s Artist Prize Fund, supporting and celebrating artists through awards and initiatives throughout the year.
Expect a fast-paced night of creativity, with art made and sold in real time. Museum galleries will be open, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

About the Virginia MOCA Artist Prize Fund
The Artist Prize Fund invests directly in artists. Through the fund, Virginia MOCA awards financial prizes that recognize exceptional artistic achievement and provide meaningful support for artists at pivotal moments in their careers. These awards celebrate excellence while helping artists continue creating new work.
The Artist Prize Fund supports awards presented through two of Virginia MOCA’s signature juried art exhibitions: the Made in VA Biennial and the Virginia MOCA Boardwalk Art Show. While Monster Drawing Rally is our largest annual fundraiser for the Artist Prize Fund, the fund is open year-round. With every contribution, you help us recognize artists and invest in the creative community.
