Monologues from a Movement contains true #MeToo stories from women that touch on several varied aspects of the movement, including personal relationships, social encounters between strangers, overall societal attitudes, religious culture, and the workplace.A few of these stories will entertain you and even make you laugh. Some will sound all too familiar. Some will be hard to hear. Unfortunately, these stories are not rare. If you know a woman, you likely know somebody with a heartbreaking #MeToo moment she could share if she wanted to.

Monologues from a Movement is a Black Chair Project. Black Chair Projects are an exciting branch of Magenta Theater where actors perform staged readings of plays utilizing the bare minimum rehearsal time. Sets are minimal, using primarily black chairs, and lighting is drawn from cues already programmed into the system. Black Chair performances generally run for one or two nights only.
