One of our favorite fundraisers is back!!! Calling all monkeys! Did you know that Dania Beach has their own monkeys hanging around? Sometimes you can catch sight of them right behind our beer garden!
Join us on Saturday, 05/19/24 as we invite The Dania Beach Vervet Monkey Project to our taproom for a fun, educational charity event! @daniabeachvervetproject
The Dania Beach Vervet Project was established in 2014 by Dr. Williams to promote conservation, education, and awareness about the local monkey population. The monkeys have been part of the Dania Beach community since their escape from the Dania Chimp Farm in the late 1940’s. Research suggests that the local monkey population is at risk of extinction within the next 50 years due to human development and illegal pet trade. This project is vital to preserve these monkeys. All research is noninvasive and prioritizes animal welfare in any decision making.
Dr. Deborah Williams will be doing a presentation during the event to educate you all about our friendly neighbors. We will also have donation specials to help the Vervet project: Donate $5 and receive $1 off a beer, up to five beers!
Now, quit monkeying around! Bring the family and enjoy a Sunday in the garden while having a beer for a good cause!
