"Mausoleum is part II of the band's trilogy. Part I, The Long Haul..., revolved around themes of birth and creation, specifically the band's movement into a new genre and musical direction and the idea of creating this trilogy. Part II instead focusses on death and mortality. The songs all look at death from different perspectives and how death comes in many forms and in many parts of life. Musically, the album picks up where the previous left off, and sonically expands in every form."
