Join us Oct 29th in El Mero Weso of the Westside at Jaime's Place! Money Chicha (ATX) will be releasing their 2nd album entitled Chicha Summit. Opening up will be local group Volcan! Vibrations provided by King Remo's Jamacian Sound System! Two powerhouse bands that will keep the dance floor moving all night. Below is a brief description of both bands, and links. Money Chicha, the Austin based band featuring members of the GRAMMY-award winning Latin
orchestra Grupo Fantasma and its offshoot funk outfit Brownout, are proud to announce their new
album Chicha Summit (out October 15 on Vampisoul). The 12-track album consists of two
thematic sides. Side A represents Money Chicha’s expression and interpretation of traditional
Chicha music alongside one of its architects Jose Carballo, while Side B showcases all original
compositions recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios. The album also features some of the band’s close
knit Austin collaborators including Colombian American musician and vocalist Kiko Villamizar
and Colombian percussionist Victor Cruz (Nemegata).

Volcan (SATX)Volcán is a 13-piece orignal Indie Latin project formed in late 2014 comprised of a full a rhythm section, full brass section, a state champion accordionist, a prolific lead guitarist, and best-in-class vocals. Volcán brings traditional cultural sounds to a new generation of Latinos, creating pieces of music that stretch the definition of what traditional Latin music is and modernizing classic sounds for the next generation
