Monday Swing - Switch Dancing with Austin and Darcie

Monday Swing is a weekly vintage swing dance practicum and social dance on Monday nights with DJ'ed music in a cozy SE PDX setting.
This month's topic is Switch Dancing with Austin and Darcie!
Who's leading and who's following? Learn the art of seamlessly swapping dance roles with your partner in the middle of a dance. This series will be progressive so don’t miss the first two weeks – we will focus on leading skills for followers and following skills for leaders. We will continue with learning to pass roles back and forth between us and keep the dance flowing. Come with solid skills in your primary role (i.e., you are mostly successful with your primary role while social dancing) and readiness to move beyond the basics in your opposite role.

We DJ music just like a regular social dance. You can come out and just dance like normal, or you can come planning to work on something: Ask for feedback, work on a move, play with variations, master a routine.

Experienced dancers and local teachers are available at practicum to help out with sticky spots.
