Peter Hefty is an award-winning ventriloquist and comedian, featured alongside the likes of Jeff Dunham in the comedy anthology I Killed: True Stories of the Road from America’s Top Comics.
On the strength of that, Paramount Pictures hired him to help promote Dinner for Schmucks — taking his ventriloquist act out to publicize the film. Many of his characters started life as hand-drawn sketches before they ever climbed onto the stage.
Over the years he’s appeared on 27 TV shows from Milwaukee to Miami, headlined resorts across Canada, the U.S., Mexico and the islands, and taken his act to 36 countries worldwide. He’s been featured in a documentary filmed in Las Vegas, and his Coconuts on the Beach spot played in Tampa over 40 times — running on cable and on the BBC in London.
