It's time to sleeve up those Sol Rings and get ready to duke it out at Monday Night Commander! Every week we're running separate pods for traditional Commander (Brackets 1-3), High Power Commander (Bracket 4), and CEDH (Bracket 5) so you can join whichever fits your preferred power level. Monday Night Commander will use the official Commander banlist linked here:https://magic.wizards.com/en/banned-restricted-list
Entry is $5, with one random player from each regular Commander pod receiving a Set Booster pack from a recent Standard set, and players receiving $5 store credit per knock-out. For High Power Commander & CEDH, store credit prizes will be Winner-Take-All (e.g. in a 4-player pod, the winner gets $20).
In order to facilitate more fun and interactive games in the regular (non-competitive) Commander pods, we have instituted a “Turn Six” rule - players cannot play infinite combos before their sixth turn. This includes actual infinite combos (e.g. Kinnan + Basalt Monolith) as well as technically non-infinite combos such as Niv-Mizzet + Curiosity or Demonic Consultation + Thassa’s Oracle. This is at our discretion and judged by the spirit rather than the letter of the rule.
