🟠 Abby will be leading the topic lesson on Body Awareness: Spinal Mobility Focus! This lesson will emphasize movements of the spine and how they can enhance our dance by the spinal connection to our shoulders, chest, and hips. Abby combines her knowledge as a Physical Therapist with her dance background to challenge participants to settle into themselves. Similar to the first Body Awareness lesson in July, this class is open to both newcomers and returners who want to feel more connected to their bodies in dance and improve their Blues form!
🟣 Savanna will be leading the Beginner Drop-in to prepare any completely new or new-to-blues dancers ready for the social dance floor immediately following the lesson!
🔵 Our DJs for the social dance will be Rick and Nick 🙌🙌👏👏
On Mondays we highlight the "roots" of Blues with true blues tunes from the likes of Willie Dixon, Big Mama Thorton, BB King, just to name a few -- while also featuring a few "fruits", contemporary genres that were directly influenced by the blues (which is arguably most music nowadays 🤓).
