Are you ready to take your job search to the next level? Join us for an informative and interactive training session on "Career Fair Readiness"!
On May 13 from 5-7:30pm the Harvard Ed Portal is also hosting a Multi-Industry Career & Small Business Resource Fair so this Monday Job Seekers session you will help you feel prepared!
This 90-minute session, presented by Amaru, is designed to equip you with the skills and strategies needed to make the most of your next career fair experience. Whether you're a student preparing for your first job or an experienced professional looking for a new opportunity, this training is for you!
During this comprehensive session, Amaru will cover:
- Researching employers and tailoring your resume
- Crafting an impressive elevator pitch
- Dressing for success
- Engaging with recruiters and asking the right questions
- Following up after the career fair
Bonus: Attendees will receive a complimentary "Career Fair Survival Kit" containing essential resources and templates to help you stand out from the competition!
About the presenter:
Arturo Natella is the Founder of Amaru, where he specializes in recruiting diverse talent and creating equitable workplaces. Previously a Senior Recruiting Consultant at Diversity at Workplace, he developed tailor-made DEI recruitment training programs and led talent acquisition assessments for global companies. Arturo has been honored with the Latinx Amplifier and ALX100 awards for his initiatives in connecting people of color to wealth-building employment opportunities in Massachusetts. In his role as a career coach, he employs a practical and empowering approach, equipping individuals to navigate recruiting bias, workplace culture, and power dynamics. Arturo holds multiple certifications, including a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University, AIRS Certified DEI Recruiter, and SHRM People Analytics.

Advance registration is preferred for all Ed Portal programs and events. Walk-in attendees may not be admitted.
Parking is limited around the Ed Portal so we recommend taking public transportation.
Public transportation options:
We are about a 15-20 minute walk from the Red Line Harvard Square station or Green Line -B Harvard Avenue station.
Several MBTA buses also stop near the intersection of North Harvard Street and Western Avenue: #66, #86, #70.
Parking information:
If you choose to drive to the Ed Portal please be prepared to utilize the two-hour on-street parking surrounding the Ed Portal or to park at Artesani Park and walk 10-12 minutes along Western Avenue to arrive at the Ed Portal. A limited number of parking spaces are available in the rear of the Ed Portal building on a first come, first serve basis. You may only use parking spaces in the rear of the Ed Portal building outlined in orange paint.
