Want to learn to blues dance with consistent classes in a progressive way? Join our first weekly "begintermediate"/drop-in friendly blues classes before the Blues Jam on Mondays at Odde's Music Grilll, brought to you by CMDance and The Mile High Blues Society!
During the month of July, Jen Delk will be teaching each 45-minute blues class before three hours of live blues music in two separate rooms!!! There will be an overarching theme so it is beneficial to sign up for the whole month, but anyone will still be able to drop-in for one or two classes- classes will be designed so that you can choose either option and have a great basis in the dance! No partner required.
6:00-6:45: Blues Dance Class
7:00-10:00- Blues Jam!

What’s this month’s theme?
In honor of our new location and partnership with Mile High Blues Society, this month’s theme will be Jams.
Jam History - the most popular theory about its origin is connected to the jazz scene in the 1920s. It was used to describe black and white jazz musicians playing together when they met after playing their regular gigs. At the time, these musicians wouldn't be able to play together in a normal setting, but at these late night get togethers, an underground jam scene emerged.
Jamming is a way for musicians to improvise without extensive preparation or set arrangements, and it can be used to develop new material, find arrangements, or simply have fun.
Over the 5 week series we will build your skillset so you can jam on the dance floor together and apart. New material for some and new arrangements for others set to different music.
