Citizen science is a way for everyday people to help scientists collect information to further their knowledge in their area of study. To help scientists learn about the migration of monarch butterflies, we will capture them, record some data, put a tiny sticker on them, and release them to continue their journey to Mexico. You'll learn proper insect net techniques, proper handling skills, and more in this hands-on program in the W.I.N.G.S. series.
Women in Nature Gaining Skills (W.I.N.G.S.) encourages and empowers women through teaching skills needed to partake in outdoor recreation activities in south central Indiana. Each W.I.N.G.S. event features woman-led, hands-on training, with the goal of building a community of women interested in the outdoors. W.I.N.G.S. events are open to ages 16 yrs. and up.
