Monarch Mayhem: Monarch Butterfly Tagging
Learn about monarch biology, ecology, and the important role community scientists play in tracking these iconic pollinators. Participants will have the opportunity to help net, tag, and release monarch butterflies encountered during the program, contributing valuable data to ongoing conservation efforts.
What to Expect:
We will explore one of Greenfield’s restored meadow areas while learning about monarch butterflies and their life cycle. Participants will assist with capturing, tagging, and releasing monarchs as conditions allow.
What to Bring:
- Dress for the weather
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Drinking water
