Take flight to the Nature Museum for an afternoon of family crafting!In this unique workshop taught by Laura Lynne Art, guests will learn all about Monarch Butterflies and their unique migration, and then craft their very own moving piece of shadow puppet artwork! At the end of the workshop, guests will be able to take turns flying their puppet in Laura Lynne's Shadow Puppet Theatre!
Laura Lynne Art will provide all the supplies necessary to create your puppet, all you need to bring is your curiosity and your creativity!
This workshop is designed for guests 6 and older with an adult. Teens and adults are also welcome to take the class-- art is for everyone!! Guests under the age of 16 must register with an adult.
Family and Family+ Members receive discounted admission to this workshop. Don't forget to sign into your member account before you purchase your tickets!
About the Instructor
Laura Lynne is an artist, mural painter and art educator with a passion for nature. She has led numerous workshops and classes for all ages including an artist-in-residence with the DuPage Children's Museum and artist-in-residence with the Indian Prairie School District. Some of her projects include large scale murals and collaborative artworks with Illinois wildlife themes.
