Year after year, opioid overdose remains a leading cause of maternal death in the US, with fentanyl driving numbers to alarming heights. Between 2017 and 2020, of the 7,642 pregnancy-associated deaths, 1,249 were due to overdose. The Naloxone Project introduces the MOMs Initiative, aiming for 100% of hospital-based labor and delivery units to provide overdose education and naloxone distribution to at-risk mothers and families. Together, let's combat the opioid epidemic destroying American families.
