About this Event

Moments Not Behind Us will screen a selection of three short films, each telling stories about love, homesickness and grief through the lens of memory. Those three films rewind the moments of the highest emotions and un-return points. Love, homesickness and grief merge together in one screening. Are those moments yet behind us?

On the Wane (6’) by Hee-Seung Choi

On the Wane unfolds as the protagonist recounts memories and past conversations with late father while contemplating the idea of a beginning and an end; and how they seem to be intertwined.

Listen to the Grass Grow (25’) by Kristina Daurova

Listen to the Grass Grow is a short abstract personal memory; sometimes too emotional, sometimes too illogical. But that’s the way our thoughts are floating in the space of our consciousness. This is the story of Maria.

Hello My First Love, Over and Out (29’) by Daniel Donato

Harry travels to Lisbon in search of his first lover, but Agnes, his feminine double, reappears. A love letter guides Harry/Agnes along in this phantasmagorical investigation.

The screening will be followed by the Q&A moderated by Irina Leifer.
