Description
That discoloration on the wall might be a simple maintenance issue—or evidence of a moisture.
problem that needs more investigation. Before cleaning, cutting, spraying, or tearing anything out, learn what you are actually dealing with.
This beginner-friendly workshop introduces students to the relationship between buildings, moisture, and mold. Students will learn common sources of unwanted moisture, conditions that
support mold growth, warning signs to look for, and basic tools used to investigate moisture problems.
The class also introduces personal protective equipment (PPE), safe work practices, and common DIY mistakes that can spread contamination or fail to address the underlying
problem.
Designed for homeowners and property professionals alike, this workshop helps students understand what they can reasonably investigate themselves, what information should be documented, and when a situation may require professional assessment or remediation.
This course provides the recommended foundation for Building Residential Containments for Mold Remediation Projects.
