Module Six – The Next Steps
(no previous workshop attendance required)
Module six is the stepping stone from student to professional Bowen practitioner. Building on existing skills and developing new ones, it will create a huge level of confidence in your abilities and understanding of Bowen, what you can do with it and how you can create a full time practice.
The practical sections will explore some new moves around the shoulder, ankle and and the TMJ and will start to give you the assessment and body reading skills that will help you to formulate what to do and when and when to stop.
By the end of this course, you will have the fundamentals of body reading and be able to spot where pain or presentations are coming from and will be feeling confident to step away from rigid patterns of treatment.
You will learn how to manage clients where there are no apparent changes to their presentations after several sessions, as well as ways to explain Bowen effectively to both medical professionals as well as prospective clients.
You will understand the principles of the nervous system and the physiology of muscles that will give you an enormous insight into how Bowen might work the way it does and will inform how to understand the responses that happen after treatment.
The steps needed to become busier in your practice and ways to communicate with prospective clients, to become more efficient and productive when working on and in your own business will be covered. Practical elements around this will feature strongly and enable you to find your own strengths in communication.
The module is led by CBS Principal Instructor Julian Baker, who is one of the worlds most experienced Bowen therapists and teachers, having been studying, teaching and practicing Bowen for over thirty years. He has taught thousands of students all over the world and has written two best selling books on Bowen.
His knowledge and understanding of fascia, the nervous system, anatomy and how it all relates to Bowen is second to none and this module is guaranteed to empower, inspire and motivate you, no matter what experience you have in Bowen.
In order to cut down on accommodation costs for students, the class will run from 1pm until 6pm on the first day and from 9am until 5pm on days two and three.
