Nearly three years ago, on 22 April 2023, a small creative space in Collingwood became the birthplace of something special. Fabrice, together with a friend who believed in the idea and offered the space, gathered a handful of local modular legends — Cameron, David, Sven, Age, Lincoln, and Fabrice himself. Those first sessions were raw, intimate, full of curiosity and excitement. Just a group of people who loved sound and wanted to share that love with others.From that humble beginning, Modular People has grown into a vibrant community and a home for local modular artists. We’ve watched newcomers become regulars, hobbyists become performers, and strangers become collaborators.
And now, on 27 December 2025, we celebrate our 14th Modular People event — a milestone that reflects not just persistence, but the heart of everyone involved. Every artist who has stepped up to perform, every person who’s come to listen, every patch cable swapped and every moment of sonic chaos or beauty… it’s all part of what makes this community so alive.
Modular People has always been more than an event — it’s a platform, a meeting place, and a reminder that creativity thrives when we lift each other up. Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to many more patches, performances, and unforgettable moments together.
