CLASS DESCRIPTION:
The Modern Weaving Workshop is tailored for beginners eager to learn frame-loom weaving. This immersive class offers vibrant yarns and textured fibers to ignite your creativity and guide you in crafting a one-of-a-kind woven wall hanging. You'll be introduced to various weaving techniques, from the basic plain weave to intricate patterns. By the end of the workshop, you'll proudly take home a stunning woven tapestry that reflects your personal style and newfound weaving skills. Beginner-friendly, no prior experience required.
Participants will take home:
12 x 8-inch wooden frame loom and needle
Use of high-quality yarns and fibers for weaving your project during the workshop
Wooden dowel for hanging your finished piece

Tyler Sanville of Tyler Makes Things is a fiber artist specializing in tufting, punch needle, and weaving techniques. With a background in environmental advocacy, her art is inspired by the natural world and focuses on exploration, expression, and bold statements through color and texture. Tyler shares her passion for fiber art by creating commissioned one-of-a-kind wall art and teaching workshops where she invites others to experience the therapeutic power of fiber art while aiming to foster joy, connection, and inclusivity.
