Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 2:00 p.m. ET
Barnes & Noble Georgetown

The 2026 Midterm Election season promises to be a "great re-shuffling," and it will be here before we know it. Join us to learn how political campaigns have changed and how they've become smarter, faster, and more voter-centric over time. From the impact of AI to insights on how politicians get their start and then succeed (or don't), Michael Cohen is an insider and expert with fascinating stories about the qualities and challenges that can make or break a candidate, the biggest strategic risks for any campaign, and the many changes over time that now affect the workings of our democratic process.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Dr. Michael D. Cohen, a 30+ year veteran of working on, teaching, and writing about political campaigns shows readers how campaigns are organized, explains state-of-the-art tools of the trade, and reveals how some of the most interesting people in politics got their big breaks. He combines academic insights and practical advice that will be of interest to practitioners and students considering careers in politics. The second edition also explores how artificial intelligence (AI) impacts campaigns and offers an up-to-date understanding of how campaigns succeed.
