Modern Mizuhiki Jewelry - Mapunapuna

Join us to learn the beautiful ancient Japanese artform of mizuhiki , or knot tying using specialized rice paper cord. Malia will guide you in learning how to create two different styles of mizuhiki: the awaji knot and the dakiawaji knot. After practicing the knots you will use your choice of mizuhiki cord colors and jewelry findings to fashion 1-2 finished pieces as earrings/pins; OR 1-4 finished knots that you may take home to turn into personal embellishments on your own.
