About this Event

Can parasites change your behaviour? And what diseases can they cause? Join infectious disease specialists at the cutting edge of medical research as they share their expertise on the latest science about parasites.

Joanne will explore how toxoplasma can alter the behaviour of its hosts – from fatal feline attraction in rats to schizophrenia in humans.

Some parasites can cause not just one, but multiple diseases. Catherine will uncover how a malaria infection can cause a whole spectrum of human diseases.
