Join us for a Modern Calligraphy & Journalling for Beginners workshop with artist Vanessa Opazo.Calligraphy is the art of writing beautifully. If you have always felt mesmerised by watching videos of people using traditional tools to write beautiful letters, you can soon be one of them. It's all about practice!
In this class we are going back to that beautiful connection with both traditional and modern tools used to create Modern Calligraphy & Brush Lettering.
Vanessa will help you to become familiar with your materials and teach you the basic strokes, breaking down the letters and how to connect them together to form your own words and sentences.
You will also learn how to use a brush pen to replicate the "calligraphy look" and enhance your journaling practice and explore different ways of using your journal, such as creating a more appealing to-do list, brain dump, or expressive writing.
At the end of the class you will take home your kit that includes nib pen & ink, brush pen, journal and workbook.
This class is perfect for Complete Beginners to Intermediate.
This is an adult open age class and is suitable for age 12 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
