About this Event
What does pride mean to you? How do you define pride on both a personal and collective level? When do you feel most prideful? And how are you engaged in the LGBTQ+ rights movement? Pride is about self-discovery and acceptance, but it’s also about community, resilience, and visibility. What’s your story about pride?
MOCA Queer StoryJAM returns with another heartfelt gathering! This storytelling program aims to foster understanding and build bridges across diverse communities by highlighting the voices of queer Asian Americans. This time, we are eager to hear stories about PRIDE—whether centered on self-acceptance, prideful moments in life, or political engagements—from our community.
Five LGBTQIA+ Asian American storytellers from different backgrounds will share their personal narratives on pride and the ways it shapes their lives. Following their presentations, the floor will be open for program guests to share their own stories. A sign-up sheet will be available upon check-in for those who wish to participate.
Join us for a night of meaningful storytelling, reflection, and connection. We look forward to hearing your story!
