Celebrate the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Hobbit-themed release by creating your own cozy, Hobbit-inspired mug! Join visiting artist Taylor Friese as the Iowa Ceramics Center & Glass Studio's Mobile Clay Studio rolls into RePlay Gaming for this special pottery workshop.
Each participant will begin with a professionally wheel-thrown mug created by ICCGS. During the workshop, you'll transform it into your own unique fantasy mug by attaching a handle, adding an iconic round hobbit door, sculpting stonework and other rustic details, and personalizing it with your own creative touches.
Whether you're a Magic player, fantasy enthusiast, Tolkien fan, or simply enjoy making with clay, this workshop is the perfect way to celebrate the new set while creating a functional piece of handmade pottery. No pottery experience necessary! This workshop is recommended for ages 8+.
Workshop Includes:
-One wheel-thrown mug, ready for decorating
-Step-by-step instruction from visiting artist Taylor Friese
-All clay, tools, and materials
-Glazing and kiln firing
