On Sunday, May 5th, Musicians on a Mission will host, “Rain or Shine – Songs about the Weather” OPEN MIC & FOOD DRIVE at the Belmar Arts Center from 11:30 – 4:00pm. Guest host will be Rich Sorrentino.
Rich chose “Rain or Shine – Songs about the Weather” for the theme of this open mic, which means you should do at least TWO songs that have to do with the theme, plus one more song (cover or original). This means that you will sing at least two songs that have to do with any kind of weather condition. There’s the obvious, Billie Holiday classic, “Stormy Weather” or Nat King Cole’s, “Lazy, Crazy, Hazy Days of Summer” or “Ain’t No Sunshine” from Bill Withers. There are a ton of songs that will fit this theme. You decide on three good songs and we'll listen. Just keep it at 12 minutes or under!
There will be a grand finale song, “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles for everyone to share at the end of the event. Support for other performers is a priority for MOAM, so please show up early and stay late to sing the finale with everyone.

Admission is $5 donation at the door or $3 with two non-perishable food donations. Proceeds to benefit FULFILL – the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the Belmar Arts Center.

You do NOT need to be a member of MOAM to sign up for this open mic. However, we offer sign-ups online to our MOAM members first. Fresh coffee, soda, water and snacks will be available for a minimal charge at the show or bring something for yourself.
