Welcome to MNPS STEAM Night: Hydro Heroes!
Have you ever wondered how the sciences and arts mix? Join us for an exciting evening of water-themed STEAM activities at The Parthenon that connect to our collections. Come learn about Poseidon, hear from Gretchen Judkins and Megan Fuqua from Metro Water Services, and more water-themed fun! This event is from 4:30 PM- 6:30 PM.
Special STEAM Night Tours:
- 5 PM - Museum Tour with an archaeologist who has lived and worked in Greece
- Build a boat and see if it will help Odysseus survive the Odyssey
- Learn about water density with Dr. Jeffrey Gustafson, a chemisty professor from Belmont University
- Watch a suminagashi water-marbling demonstration from Studio NPL
This event is FREE for Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) students, staff, and faculty— and their entire families!
Simply inform museum staff you are a MNPS family for free admission to STEAM Night. If you are not a part of MNPS, this event is included with the price of admission.
