Our immediate objective is to raise funds for the MMG Foundation Vocational Training Programme and to continue engaging the schools to teach their children the history of Marcus Mosiah Garvey's impact on Africa and look at “Africa First” with pride.
Our programme will train individuals aged 17 years to 30 years in Solar installation and maintenance ICT electronics electric installation and maintenance motor mechanic carpentry and indigenous crafts. We are projecting to train 250 students each year.
During their training candidates get a stipend to assist with travel and food expenses. On completion of their training candidates get a complete tool kit to encourage entrepreneurial initiative or further educational pursuit.
On the 17th of August (Garvey's birthday) MMG Foundation will have its annual competition when children showcase their skilfulness and talent for the coveted MMGF trophy.
