“Black Being” is a groundbreaking exploration of the Black female experience. Featuring composer-performer duo Flutronix (Nathalie Joachim and Allison Loggins-Hull), this electro-acoustic performance honors Martin Luther King with a unique blend of lighting, electronics, poetry, and soloists with orchestra. Newly commissioned texts by poet laureate Jaki Shelton Green give voice to the complexities of Black womanhood. This compelling modern duo are known for their fusion of classical music with hip-hop, electronic programming, and soulful vocals.
