The Experience
This is a three-day immersive mixing workshop for music creators, producers, and engineers who want to understand how professional mixes are built from the ground up. Join Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, Attack Attack!, Of Mice & Men) at Kali Audio headquarters in Los Angeles for an intimate, hands-on deep dive into the art of modern rock and metal mixing. Every ticket includes a pair of Kali Audio headphones or studio monitors depending on your tier - because learning how to mix properly means nothing if you don't have the right gear to take home with you.
Day 1 kicks off with an evening party where you can meet Joey, Miami, and other attendees over drinks at Kali Audio's headquarters - casual listening, real connections, and good vibes before the work begins.
Day 2 is all about understanding the system. Joey opens up two of his finished mixes and walks you through every decision he made - from gain staging and bus processing to his fail-safe mixing philosophy that makes it nearly impossible to mess up a mix. You'll also rotate through the monitoring sweet spot to experience proper listening levels on the same Kali Audio monitors you'll be taking home.
Day 3 is where it gets real. Joey speed-mixes VIP attendee songs live from raw files, showing you exactly how a pro approaches unfamiliar material under time pressure. Whether it's your song up on the speakers or someone else's, you'll watch the entire process unfold in real time.
