Festival Executive Producer Bios
Kenton Clarke is an entrepreneur, cultural strategist, and Co-Founder and Executive Producer and the visionary of the Mixed Roots Jazz Festival, where he oversees the artistic vision, partnerships, and community impact. With decades of experience building mission‑driven businesses and organizations along with his passion of music, Clarke launched the Mixed Roots Jazz Festival to elevate diverse voices in jazz to create meaningful opportunities for young people to explore their creative worlds. His commitment to excellence and representation shapes every aspect of the festival experience—from artist curation to youth programming to a welcoming, unique family‑centered atmosphere that defines what Mixed Roots is all about.
Holly Choon Hyang Bachman is the Co-Founder and Executive Producer and provides the overall leadership and execution of the Mixed Roots Jazz Festival that will serve as a special celebration of all Mixed Roots that is rooted in multiculturalism, creative artistic expression, and leveraging the power of music to unite diverse communities. As a social entrepreneur and passion for the community while most importantly making a positive impact on young people through mentoring, Holly has joined hands with Kenton Clarke to help spotlight world‑class artists while opening doors for the next generation through the Mixed Roots Academy. Her leadership brings together the greater community from all different backgrounds where the Mixed Roots Jazz Festival will be a joyful day of creating unity through jazz and culture with unforgettable performances for the community.
