Mixed Messages Exhibition

'Mixed Messages' launches with an exclusive one-day exhibition during Digbeth First Friday and will explore themes of mental health and the complexities of intimate relationships.

This exhibition will feature 30 paintings created by Amaan Jahangir, inspired by text messages from South Asian culture and communities. These paintings aim to prompt contemplation of unspoken truths.

Amaan says "Growing up in a religiously conservative South Asian household, this exhibition provides a personal and community platform for emotional exploration and open discussion, fostering a safe space for expression."

Additionally, a documentary will be filmed during the exhibition's creation, collaborating with local underrepresented creatives highlighting the healing nature of art.
