Mixed Media Jewelry Workshop: The Art of Texture & Story
About this Event
Transform everyday textiles, tactile fibers, and personal keepsakes into expressive wearable art. In this hands-on workshop, you will explore mixed-media assemblage techniques to construct a custom, one-of-a-kind pendant necklace rich in texture, color, and personal story.
Whether you are a seasoned artisan or a complete beginner, this class offers a relaxed, experimental space to manipulate materials, build tactile layers, and complete a distinct statement piece ready to wear home.
What You Will Learn
- Textile Layering & Composition: How to combine raw-edge fabrics, novelty yarns, fringe, and thread to build structural depth and movement.
- Mixed-Media Assemblage: Securing non-traditional accents—such as vintage keys, wooden beads, metal charms, buttons, and natural sticks—into soft textile bases.
- Structural Finishing: Methods for balancing your pendant and mounting it securely onto cord or chain hardware for durable wear.

- All necessary tools, needles, wire, adhesive, and mounting supplies.
