In addition to acknowledging and celebrating graduating seniors, this event provides a platform for attendees to interact with students at all levels. See how the stimulating RID+I curriculum prepares emerging designers by taking the concepts of design and innovation to a whole new level.
We will hear from RID+I Director Philip Repp about the exciting new developments within the institute and meet the talented professionals and instructors who guide the students in their studies.

About (RID+I)
The Richmond Institute for Design + Innovation is the epicenter of interdisciplinary design education at Western Michigan University. Home both to interior architecture and product design, curricular and co-curricular experiences prepare the next generation of design innovators for fulfilling careers. There are two creative pathways to choose from:
Product Design | Created in the fall of 2016, the program brings together entrepreneurship, engineering, and fine arts coursework to train future generations of product designers interested in innovating specific products and global systems. Read more about the transdisciplinary approach preparing graduates to lead in the field of industrial design.
Interior Architecture + Design | The interior architecture program is a four-year, CIDA-accredited professional degree program that provides integrative learning through focused design studios; community-driven projects; immersive field experiences; professional practice and development initiatives; local and international charrettes; advanced design communication and visualization methodologies; studies in materiality and textile design; interior construction; as well as historical, theoretical, and philosophical-applied design.
